Young People (18-35)

Young People (18-35)

We offer our Wednesday night class for young people to come together to meet like-minded others who are interested in learning and practising meditation, exploring ethics, and hearing and discussing the teachings of the Buddha in a safe and welcoming space.

You don’t need to be a Buddhist, or to have previous experience of meditation; just come along with an open mind and a willingness to be with others who are reflecting on their journey through life.

Each evening begins with a brief breathing space relaxation, and usually includes a short talk on meditation or an aspect of Buddhist teachings, an opportunity for discussion in small groups, a tea break, and meditation in our shrine room.

Everyone of all backgrounds, cultures, and traditions is welcome.

Please arrive for a 6.30pm start.

Do I need to be a Buddhist?

The class is especially suited for people who are completely new to meditation and Buddhism, and suitable for everyone, regardless of your religious beliefs.

What should I wear?

There are no special requirements, just whatever is comfortable to sit in.

How much does the class cost?

We don’t charge for our classes, we simply ask that those who are able to do so make a donation to the centre to help us cover our running costs.
