Open meetings

Last Sunday of the month from 7pm – 8:10pm

The group is peer-led, and your confidentiality and privacy will always be respected.

Open Meetings are for anyone who is interested in learning more about the 8 Step Buddhist Recovery support group program. Is your behaviour or negative patterns of thinking causing you or others to suffer? When you try to change them do you keep failing, despite your best efforts and intentions? 8 Step recovery is a compassionate and non-judgmental group where you can gain skills and support to make positive changes to such patterns for the benefit of yourself and others.

We will mainly be using the book Eight Step Recovery: Using The Buddha’s Teachings to Overcome Addiction, but for some meetings we may look at other Buddhist recovery books. All are welcome to attend.

Mentorship meetings

We also hold monthly Mentorship Meetingswhich are by invitation only and are for established members who are actively working in their recovery towards overcoming addiction, habitual and harmful behaviours.

In the mentorship meeting, members can speak openly and honestly about their concerns,  and/or current situations, knowing that other members have experienced similar situations. There is also more opportunity to study the steps in more depth through discussion and sharing of experience.
