Introduction to Meditation Course - Wellington

You may have heard that meditation is good for your health and well-being, and you may have tried meditating at home. It’s difficult to maintain a meditation practice on your own.  We offer an in- person course led by Ordained Buddhists who are experienced meditators. 

In this course you will learn two traditional forms of meditation, with guidance on posture. After each meditation you can ask questions and discuss your experience. 

The course will be held at our Centre in Newtown over four Tuesday nights. The course flows into a weekend meditation retreat which you can book on after the course.

Do I need to be a Buddhist?

No, you do not need to be a Buddhist.

What is your cancellation policy?

It is WBC policy that we will not profit or make a loss from cancellations. If you no longer wish to attend the course your deposit will be refunded less transaction charges.

What should I wear?

Casual, comfortable clothing that you can sit in is fine.

Do I need to be able to sit on the floor?

No, we have chairs, cushions and stools. The key is to be comfortable.

Do I need to come to all four nights?

Ideally yes. If you can't make a night please let the course leader know.
