The Buddha is said to have gained enlightenment by observing his breath. For us beginners, he left 16 short breath awareness contemplations to slowly dissolve our gross delusion, and find the purity and joy of our true nature. Join us to learn the basic calming and grounding stages taught by the Buddha that lead- with dedicated practice-towards the end of all unnecessary suffering.
This course is designed for people who have completed our 4 week introductory course at the Wellington Buddhist Centre.
No, you do not need to be a Buddhist.
It is WBC policy that we will not profit or make a loss from cancellations. If you no longer wish to attend the course your deposit will be refunded less transaction charges.
Casual, comfortable clothing that you can sit in is fine.
No, we have chairs, cushions and stools. The key is to be comfortable.
Ideally yes. If you can't make a night please let the course leader know.
