Guidelines for Alert Level 2

When you Attend a Class

We have introduced a number of health and safety guidelines to meet the requirements of opening under alert level2. This is also a perfect opportunity for really becoming so much more aware of each other.

  1. If you are unwell please stay home 
  2. The Centre will be set up and cleaned before your arrival.
  3. Give a team member your contact details  as you arrive.
  4. Maintain 1 metre distance from each other therefore:
  • Only one person in the cloakroom  at a time
  • Don't move chairs and stay seated, (if you need anything additional ask a team member)
  • In the shrine room, take your place and ask for any additional equipment
  • No physical contact with others (e.g. handshakes, hugs, hongi)
  1. Hand sanitiser is provided. Please use it.
  2. Practice the guidance on hand washing and coughing into elbows or tissues.

 

If You are on a Class Team

 

BEFORE CLASS

  1. Someone in team needs to be there at 6:30pm’
  2. Make sure the shrine room and reception room are set up:
  • Chairs placed in a circle with 1 metre distancing
  • Mats placed 1 metre apart with 2 blue cushions, 1 blanket and 1 orange cushion
  1. Turn on air conditioning
  2. Wipe all door handles and taps with antibacterial spray and purple cloth, store used purple cloths in labelled bucket in orange room. Saradarshini will wash these each week.
  3. Ensure there is hand sanitiser beside Eftpos terminal
  4. Leave hand sanitiser and dana bowl together on table past cloak room
  5. Open door to toilets using a door stop
  6. Open front door wide using door stop

 

AS PEOPLE ARRIVE

Team Member 1 

  1. Greet people as they arrive,
  2. Write name and contact number on tracking details sheet
  3. Remind people of distancing practices, including no handshaking
  4. Allow one person only into the cloakroom at a time,
  5. Let them know hand sanitiser is available after they come out of the cloakroom

Team Member 2

  1. After people come out of the cloakroom point out hand sanitiser, dana bowl and location of Eftpos terminal.
  2. Offer sheet of Centre User safety guidelines
  3. Ask people to take a seat and not to rearrange the furniture.

 

DURING CLASS

  1. Close doors
  2. One team member needs to stay near the door to greet late arrivals
  3. One team member to get things for people, like a glass of water or cushion or blanket

 

IN SHRINE ROOM

  1. One team member assigned to get any additional equipment for people
  2. Remind people of 1 metre distancing when entering and leaving.

 

AFTER CLASS

  1. Again remind people, just one person at a time in the cloakroom
  2. One team member to open wide all doors and secure with doorstops
  3. Put 3 chairs in hallway for people to use for shoes and coats
  4. Put away any additional meditation equipment
