We hold festivals throughout the year to celebrate important Buddhist events and ideals. Everyone is welcome to join us for these events.

Parinirvana Day

Tuesday 21 February, 7 pm – 9 pm

Commemoration of the passing of the Buddha. A time also to recall people you know who have died during the year.

Triratna Day

Tuesday 11 April, 7 pm – 9 pm

Celebrating the founding of the Triratna Buddhist Community in 1968. A time to appreciate all those who have helped Triratna become what it is today.

Buddha Day

Friday 12 May, 7 pm – 9 pm

Celebrating enlightenment of the Buddha. The most important Buddhist festival of the year.

Dharma Day

Friday 7 July, 7 pm – 9 pm

Commemorating the first teaching the Buddha gave after his enlightenment.

Padmasambhava Puja

Friday 29 September, 7 pm – 9 pm

Dedicated to Padmasambhava who was an important figure in the spread of Buddhism in Tibet.

Sangha Day

Tuesday 31 October, 7 pm – 9 pm

Celebrating the sangha; the fellowship of all those following the Buddhist path.

This year our Sangha festival will include a Mitra ceremony for Brendon.

We’ll begin with a rejoicing in the spiritual community and a short talk on what it means to be a Mitra. This will be followed by a seven-fold puja which will include Brendon’s ceremony. The evening will conclude with tea & cake.
